Privacy Policy

Short version: the Anomaly Identifier processes search text in your browser. We do not upload that text; analytics collect the aggregate page and tool-usage data described below.

What we don't collect

No accounts, no sign-ups, no comments and no submitted forms. The Anomaly Identifier's optional search text and selected clue stay in the page and are not sent as analytics parameters. We don't know your name or email unless you choose to contact us directly. This site does not sell any products and does not collect payment information.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 only, and only for anonymous aggregate statistics โ€” which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from, and general device/browser info. Google signals and advertising personalization are switched off (allow_google_signals: false and allow_ad_personalization_signals: false). GA4 may still use cookies and may log your IP address in anonymized or truncated form. Nothing here is tied to a site account, because there are no accounts. Besides pageviews we send one anonymous event: tool_use when the Anomaly Identifier is used, which carries the tool name and never your search text or the selected clue. How to switch analytics off is set out further down, and nothing on the site stops working when you do.

Third-party links

Some pages link out to Roblox, YouTube, Fandom, or other sites. Once you click through, their own privacy policy applies โ€” we have no control over what those sites do.

Your rights over this data

Analytics data lives inside Google Analytics rather than in any database we run, and it is not attached to a name or an account โ€” which means there is genuinely no identifier we could use to find your rows in it. We do not hold purchase records: this site does not sell goods and does not collect payment information.

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to:

  • Access โ€” ask for a copy of what is held about you.
  • Rectification โ€” have anything wrong corrected.
  • Erasure โ€” ask for it to be deleted.
  • Restriction โ€” ask us to stop processing it while something is disputed.
  • Objection โ€” object to the processing, analytics included.
  • Portability โ€” get it in a form you can take elsewhere.

You can also complain to your national data protection authority without going through us first.

If you are in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what is collected and why, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, to opt out of the "sale or sharing" of personal information, and to not be treated differently for exercising any of them. That last one is easy to honour here: there are no accounts and no logged-in tier, so there is nothing that could be downgraded.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. This site runs no ads.No ad network, ad exchange or ad-tech script loads on any page here, so there is no advertising identifier being passed around โ€” and the industry ad opt-outs, the DAA's WebChoices or Your Online Choices in the EU, have nothing on this site to switch off. From simply reading the site, the only third party that receives anything is Google Analytics, and that is for anonymous aggregate traffic measurement.

One caveat, stated rather than argued: California's definition of "sharing" is written broadly, and some readings pull analytics identifiers inside it even where no advertising is involved. We would rather hand you the off switch than debate the definition โ€” it is below, it takes one click, and it costs you nothing.

How to exercise them

For analytics, blocking beats asking. Because that data is not tied to an identity, the route that actually works is stopping the collection rather than requesting deletion afterwards. Any ad or tracker blocker that stops googletagmanager.com from loading does it, and Google publishes a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. One control that will not do it is the browser setting for third-party cookies: GA4 sets its cookies on this domain rather than as third-party ones, so that switch leaves it running โ€” clearing your cookies afterwards cuts the thread between one visit and the next, but it does not stop the collection. Nothing here breaks when you block it โ€” every guide, table and page still works, and the Anomaly Identifier still works too, because it filters a list that is already in the page and never sends what you type anywhere.

For anything we hold directly โ€” in practice that means an email you chose to send us โ€” write to tomcharm168@gmail.com and say which of the rights above you want used. One person reads that inbox, so expect a reply in days rather than hours โ€” we are not going to promise a turnaround we cannot staff.

How long the analytics data is keptis set by Google's own retention settings and policies rather than by us โ€” see Google's privacy policy.
