🧪 Harlow's Favorite Update
Launched July 10, 2026, 12:00 PM ET as a 48-hour event · about 4.4 million players registered before launch · concurrent players peaked above 1.2 million around the update
Officially listed changes (from the developer's event listing)
New Dr. Harlow model and new Dr. Harlow interactions
A new lore character and a new [REDACTED] interaction — hidden until launch
What the hidden entries turned out to be
New lore character → Liz
A caracal-like NPC and the game's first interactive female character. She appears around Shift 10 with a UV camera and a grudge against Animal Corp, and her questline keeps running through roughly Shift 21 rather than ending on that first visit. Full Liz guide →
[REDACTED] → new Stalker interaction
Community-reported: the Stalker now has a small chance to check in disguised as a patient, and photographing it makes it leave. Exact mechanics still being confirmed.
⏳ Still being verified
The exact Security and Secret Agent rework numbers (early videos suggest Secret Agent was buffed), new item names and prices, the content of the new Dr. Harlow interactions, Liz's quest rewards, and whether a new anomaly shipped. Note that every class tier list published before July 10 predates the rework — including ours — so treat Security and Secret Agent rankings as provisional until we re-verify. This page is updated as the community documents each change.
Security and Secret Agent after the rework
The event listing named both classes and published no numbers. What follows is the current documented shape of each kit — our class data was re-pulled on July 16, after the rework shipped. We deliberately don't print a before-and-after diff: no verified snapshot of either kit from before July 10 exists, so any "buffed by X" figure you see elsewhere is a reconstruction, not a patch note.
Start with a gun (20 uses), a multi-use scanner, and +2 carry capacity.
Gun capacity rises to 24 uses and regenerates 1 use each round.
Anomaly kills with the gun grant +4 sanity and +$5 cash.
Two things about the current Security kit are worth knowing before you spend 1,250 coins on it. It starts you at 62% sanity with $20 in hand — one of only two classes documented as starting with cash that start you with cash — and the free Deployable Camera at level 2 is not listed anywhere on the level 1 stats tab. It only shows once you open the level 2 tab, which makes it easy to conclude the perk isn't there when it simply isn't displayed yet.
The Secret Agent's level 3 is the entry that changes how a shift plays: every anomaly you shoot pays +4 sanity (when you're below maximum) and +$5 cash. It is the only kit that pays cash for anomaly kills — every class already gains +2 sanity for tasing a confirmed anomaly, but the Agent is the one that also gets paid. Whether that particular perk arrived on July 10 or predates the rework, we can't say. Full class comparison →
What "new class visuals" meant in practice
The listing's first bullet is the vaguest one, and it has at least one concrete confirmed instance: the playable Doctor class had been reusing Dr. Harlow's old model, and the July 10 update gave the two of them separate redesigns. So if the Doctor looked different to you after the update, that is why — and note it does not appear in the reworked-classes bullet, which named only Security and Secret Agent.

Class Update Pt. 2 + More
Late June 2026 (rolled out ~June 26–29)
Cosmetic class skins — new Skins tab in the Class Shop
Controller support
Additional check-in anomaly tells
Static photo accuracy change
June 22, 2026
This one never got a headline, but it changed how check-in is played. A photo that printed as pure static used to be a guaranteed Mimic tell; after June 22 it is not. A static photo is still an anomaly, and letting it in still triggers a Death Ritual — but shooting a patient over static alone may now just knock out a normal one. The safe post-update play is shutting the window rather than shooting. Static Photo details →
Class Update & QoL Pt. 1
Mid June 2026 (rolled out ~June 18–22)
Three upgrade levels for every class
Starting cash shown on shop cards
In-game class models and a reworked perks UI
This is the update that turned every class into a level 1 / 2 / 3 progression, and it is the reason so many perks sit behind a level rather than behind the purchase — Security's free camera at level 2, the Paramedic's cola regeneration at level 3, the Psychologist's ignore-loss chance from level 2. The documented EXP thresholds are 200 for level 2 and 850 for level 3.
Release
May 10, 2026
Animal Hospital (Anomaly) launched by the Animal Anomaly group — 57K concurrent players in the first month, then an explosion to the #1 most-played game on Roblox by early July with over 700 million total visits.
The class shop was already topped out on day one: the Surgeon, still the most expensive Animal Coins class in the game at 2,500 coins, shipped in this same May 10 build.
🧯 Past event: The Hazmat Team Arrives — July 25
This event was officially listed as The Hazmat Team Arrives, and Roblox's events API recorded a start of Saturday, July 25 at 19:15 UTC (3:15 PM ET), ending Monday, July 27 at 16:15 UTC. Older guides may still say July 24— that was the original date, and the listing was edited on July 17, moving the start about 27 hours later while leaving the end time alone. The entire official tease is one line, "The hazmat team is here", and the listing's description field is empty, so nobody published a complete content list for that event. Full timings, the teaser read frame by frame, and what we honestly don't know →

Animal Hospital updates — FAQ
What is the latest Animal Hospital update?
The Even More Lore! Update, which shipped on August 22, 2026. Community documentation lists a new lore interaction and a new special cutscene, a new location — Liz's home, where you can see what she has been investigating, a wheelchair to move patients faster (unlocks by the entrance after shift 3), 8 new skins across Doctor, Surgeon, Paramedic, Security, Secret Agent and Head Nurse, a new random minigame in rooms 1–5, an optional third-person camera setting, an updated shop UI and requested quality-of-life features and bug fixes.
What was in the Lore Expansion Update (August 8)?
The August 8–11 event added new lore events, a new location, a new fish species with a rain shift type from shift 3 onward, a new Dr. Harlow event and a hidden Dr. Harlow interaction, six new class skins, extended Liz and visitor interactions, a reconnect button, a weekly leaderboard and a spectator option. The 'Skip Doctor Dialogue' setting also became 'Skip Tutorial (Fast Start)'.
What was in Harlow's Favorite Update?
The July 10, 2026 update shipped new class visuals, new items, reworked skins, reworked Security and Secret Agent classes, reworked 2D icons, a reduced flashing lights mode, a new Dr. Harlow model with new interactions, a new lore character (Liz), and a new hidden interaction.
When is the next Animal Hospital update?
Roblox's official event listing schedules the next update for September 5, 2026, with the event window running to September 7. Updates have settled into a bi-weekly rhythm. No feature list has been announced yet, so this page will not invent one.
Why do other sites say the Hazmat update is on July 24?
Because it originally was. Roblox's event listing was created July 10 with a July 24 start, then last edited on July 17 — and the start time now reads July 25 at 19:15 UTC, with the end time unchanged. Articles published before that edit still carry the old date and most have not been updated.
What is in The Hazmat Team Arrives update?
Officially, nothing has been announced. The event listing's description field is completely empty — unlike Harlow's Favorite Update, which shipped with a full bullet list of contents. All that exists is the title, the subtitle 'The hazmat team is here', and one teaser image. Any site publishing detailed Hazmat patch notes before the event opens is guessing.
Did the July 10 update add a new character?
Yes. The 'new lore character' from the event listing turned out to be Liz, a caracal-like NPC and the game's first interactive female character. She appears around Shift 10 and hands you her UV camera.
What changed for Security and Secret Agent in the July 10 rework?
The event listing named both classes but published no numbers, and no verified snapshot of either kit from before July 10 exists — so we don't publish a diff. What is documented is the current shape of each. Security starts with a 5-use X-Taser, adds a free Deployable Camera at level 2, and regenerates 1 taser use per shift at level 3. Secret Agent starts with a 20-round gun, a multi-use scanner and +2 carry slots; level 2 raises the gun to 24 rounds with 1 regenerating each round; level 3 pays +4 sanity and +$5 cash for every anomaly killed.
Which shifts does Liz appear in?
Liz first appears at Shifts 11–12 — and her questline then runs through roughly Shift 21, so she is not a one-visit NPC. She was added in the July 10, 2026 Harlow's Favorite Update as the game's first interactive female character.
Has any update changed how anomalies work?
Yes, more than once. The June 22, 2026 change removed the static photo's status as a guaranteed Mimic tell — a pure-static photo is still an anomaly and letting it in still triggers a Death Ritual, but shooting on static alone can now knock out a normal patient, so shutting the window is the safer read. The July 25 Hazmat update then added a brand-new anomaly: the Tiny Anomaly, an extremely small patient with a very high-pitched voice. The late-June Class Update Pt. 2 separately added further check-in anomaly tells.
