How a shift works
- 1Check-in
A patient arrives at the window. Look at them, take a polaroid, and check the CCTV — three different ways an anomaly can give itself away.
- 2Reject or admit
Anomaly? Close the shutter (safest), or use the taser/gun. Real patient? Hand them a card and send them to a room.
- 3Diagnose & treat
Run the DNA analyzer, read the required 1–3 treatments off the bed screen, and grab the right meds. A wrong treatment kills the patient — you only get 3 patient deaths per run.
- 4Watch recovery
Patients take ~35 seconds to recover. Some anomalies only reveal themselves here — a patient that mutters "I'm hungry..." is about to turn.
- 5Survive the events
Ambulance rushes, room fires, Death Rituals, Bed Monsters — every few shifts something new tries to ruin your night. Manage your sanity or it's game over.

FAQ
Does Animal Hospital (Roblox) have an ending?
No fixed ending — shifts continue endlessly and only get harder. However, three NPCs (Barney, Ratthew and Officer Duckman) have their own mini-storylines with real conclusions, including Barney's two possible endings.
Is Animal Hospital endless?
Yes. There is no final shift; the first few shifts act as a gradual tutorial (shutters and cameras unlock after Shift 1, the shop and ER after Shift 2, the taser after Shift 3) and difficulty keeps scaling from there.
