Quick facts

Appearance

White rabbit-like creature — black slit eyes, mustache, brown hat, plaid pants

Appears

Shifts 2–7, up to 3 visits per shift

Anomaly?

Yes — a neutral anomaly, and a serial killer with a kitchen knife

Immune to

Tasers and guns — they do nothing to him

🐰 The request chain, step by step

  1. Coffee. He asks for coffee — four cups in total across the story.
  2. The red briefcase. He leaves a red briefcase in your care.
  3. The photograph. He asks you to photograph him at the booth — the photo is the first time you see his true form: a wide, sharp-toothed mouth and hollow eyes.
  4. The scalpel. He asks you to hand him a scalpel.
  5. "Hide me." He begs you to hide him behind the front desk — the police are coming.

Refusing his early requests doesn't break the chain or cost you the reward. Shutting the window on him does — that cancels the questline entirely.

⚖️ The choice: Officer Duckman arrives

On Shift 8+, Officer Duckman shows up holding the photo you took, hunting "the infamous serial killer." You have two options:

Ending A — stay silent (hide him)

Wait out Duckman's questions (~30 seconds) and he leaves peacefully. Barney re-emerges and rewards you with his briefcase: a second coffee machine (300s cooldown) — one of the best rewards in the game.

Ending B — turn him in

Duckman tries to arrest Barney and gets stabbed and knocked out. Barney destroys a CCTV camera and escapes; Duckman becomes a patient you have to treat. There is no reward for snitching.

The choice affects those scenes only — it does not change later shifts either way.
