How the Animal Hospital Slimebert works

Slimebert was added in the July 25, 2026 "Hazmat Team Arrives" update. It only appears once: after the first Slime Shift it despawns and won't come back until the next Slime Shift trigger. If it eats an anomaly, the anomaly turns into a Mimic. It can eat Hazmat Employees and Ghosts with no effect on them. Notably, conventional weapons (taser, gun) do nothing — this is one of the few enemies where the standard combat toolkit is completely useless. The Firefighter class's Special Fire Extinguisher is particularly useful here since it recharges automatically. On the scanner, Slimebert displays a purple beam, the same as the Stalker and Dr. Harlow.

What you want in your hands for the Slimebert

Nothing in your inventory resolves the Slimebert — it is one of the threats you handle by behaving differently rather than by carrying the right item. That is the norm rather than the exception here: a weapon answers only 3 of the 10 threats in the game.

Trying to taser or shoot Slimebert — neither has any effect. Use the Fire Extinguisher to stun it, or carry Cough Syrup for personal immunity.

Does any class make the Slimebert easier?

No class hands you a shortcut here — nothing in the shop grants the thing this threat responds to, so the answer is the same whether you are on the free Intern or the most expensive class in the game. Spend elsewhere and handle this one with positioning.
